Browns tight end Winslow sells for $1.09M

Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow, Jr., sold his four-bedroom, four-bath at 2276 Stones Throw in Westlake for $1.09 million to Joseph and Annie Thomas on July 20, 2007.

Winslow paid $935,000 for the home in Sept. 2004. The 6,085-square-foot home was built in 1997.

Winslow, 25, is now in his fourth full season at tight end with the Browns after missing the 2005 campaign with a serious knee injury. After a rookie campaign with the club in 2004 limited by a broken leg, Winslow posted strong numbers in 2006 and enjoyed his first 1,000-yard season in 2007, hauling in 82 catches for 1,106 yards. He also caught a career-high five touchdown passes while helping the team to a 10-6 record and made a trip to the Pro Bowl last season after being named an alternate for the AFC.

Originally drafted by the Browns with the sixth pick overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, Winslow was a two-year starter at the University of Miami and an All-American during his last year with the Hurricanes in 2003. He also picked up the John Mackey Award as the nation's best tight end that year, as the Hurricanes finished 11-2 and beat rival Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

Winslow is the son of former San Diego Chargers wide receiver Kellen Winslow. He is originally from San Diego.

There have been 108 sales in Westlake so far in 2008. The median sales price is $220,000.
