Thomas W. Weidenkopf and Rebecca L. Weidenkopf bought a four-bedroom, five-bath home at 600 N Main St. in Chagrin Falls Township from Jeffrey H. and Wendy J. Berry for $1.8 million on Nov. 17.

The Berrys paid $1.185 million for the property in Aug. 2007. The 6,486-square-foot house was built in 1991.

Mr. Weidenkopf is chief human resources officer at Aleris International Inc., a world leader in the production of alloy products, recycled aluminum and aluminum rolled and extruded products.

He previously was senior vice president of human resources and communications and vice president of human resources for Honeywell Aerospace, and was director for global staffing and development at Honeywell International Inc. He also worked as organization and staffing manager at General Electric's Kidder Peabody unit and has held a number of key human resources positions at Pepsi-Cola and Pizza Hut units of PepsiCo, Inc.

He received his bachelor's degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University in 1981.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been three home sales in Chagrin Falls Township during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.1 million.
